Ofna Monster Pirate Steering assembly in place. Considered one of the best steering mods for the Savage. The ofna MP bellacrank has a built in Heavy Duty servo saver incorporated into it. This allows for the use of an alloy servo arm to replace a servo saver. There is literally zero play or flex in the steering assembly now. |
Ofna throttle linkage Mod. The stock throttle/brake linkage can lend itself to flex, thus decreasing performance. A common Savage mod is to swap out the stock set-up with an ofna set-up. The ofna kit comes with all of the essentials required. I also used a Tmaxx linkage rod for the brake rod. |

The stock brake hub showed some signs of stripping so I replaced it with a GPM alloy brake hub. |

For ease of Temperature monitoring I cut a small window and placed the Venom temp guage high in the Rollbar. |
Savage Header Tank Mod. This mod is easy and inexpensive. The purpose is to prevent the Savage from leaning out at half a tank of fuel, and also allows the Savage to run upside down for more than a few seconds without sputtering and stalling. I made a custom Aluminum mounting bracket to hold the header tank in position. The bracket mounts firmly on the upper shock bolts, and also helps stiffen up the rear shocktower a bit. |

I mounted the tank so that the fuel outlet out of the header tank is level with the fuel nipple for good fuel flow. |
Ready to bash! Shouldnt have a problem keeping the .21 BB under 280 anymore! |
